Fashion: OOTD Rainbow Maize

Finally, here’s my OOTD for that Rainbow Maize Sweatshirt I was raving about from forever 21. I had in my mind exactly what I wanted to wear it with, those black leggings, but the weather has been foiling my plans! It was like 35 F yesterday but I was determined to wear it so I wore two pairs of leggings, lol.

I paired it with this charm bracelet I got from Rainbow and my Spiked Lita Dupes I got from They don’t have them on their website anymore but there’s plenty of places you can find them by now. I’ll add a link at the bottom of this post. Here’s some more pics my boyfriend took for me.

Fashion: OOTD Alpha Wolf

Today’s OOTD features one of the new tops I got in my previous shopping haul post. It was raining practically all day today and I almost didn’t get any shots but thankfully it stopped just in time to get these and a few others. I haven’t found a good indoor location yet, plus I just prefer the natural lighting. The wolf on my shirt looks right at home in the woods don’t you think? 🙂 Here’s where you can find these or similar items.

Fashion: Plato’s Closet, Rainbow, and Forever 21 HAUL!

I haven’t done as much shopping as I would like lately so I waited until I had a decent amount of items to share before I posted. First up, Plato’s Closet!

If you’ve never heard of Plato’s Closet here’s how they describe the store on their website..

“At Plato’s Closet® you’ll find a huge selection of trendy, designer styles as well as those every day basics you can’t live without – all at up to 70% off mall retail prices!

Most of our stores buy and sell girls sizes 0/1 to 15/16 and guys size 28 to 40 waist. Please contact your local store for more details.

We’re not your typical secondhand clothing store. The gently used clothing and accessories that we buy are: top-name brands, cool, hip, trendy, clean and in good condition. Typically we buy items that have been in the retail stores within the past 12 to 18 months and are current teen and young adult styles still seen in the mall.”

This first item is an olive-green knit hooded pullover by Ralph Lauren. It’s very thin so its ideal for layering. It is a size small but it has a very loose fit perfect for wear over leggings or skinny jeans. I’ll most likely pair this with my distressed high-waisted jeans, my black combat boots, and perhaps a gray infinity scarf. I snagged this piece for only $20!

This next piece is from Plato’s Closet as well but the brand is Forever 21. Now, my goal on this shopping trip was to buy more long-sleeved tops and sweaters, however, I have an affinity for flowy chiffon tops and I couldn’t let this one slide. This is a chain print chiffon high-low top. This print is very trendy, and I admit I like trends, so I had to grab it. I snagged this top for only $4!

This geometric chiffon top by New York and Company could NOT stay in that store. When I saw it I knew exactly what I would wear it with…even though I don’t have the items in my wardrobe. I would love to pair this top with a pair of black high-waisted ankle length dress slacks and pointed toe heels or flats. Add a blazer and its perfect business attire. this top was $8.

This yellow studded collar chiffon top drove me insane! I knew I needed to lay off the chiffon tops but this one was calling my name! I finally decided to put it back and to told my best friend it would most likely haunt me in my dreams. Since she’s so awesome she decided to buy it for me to make up for the sweater she didn’t get me for christmas. The color says it’s made for spring so I’ll most likely wait until spring to wear it. It’s my favorite find at Plato’s Closet. She bought it for $10!

This last Plato’s Closet find is actually not for me, it’s a mens Lacoste pullover I bought for my boyfriend. He’s not obsessed with fashion like me but he does want to revamp his wardrobe so I thought I’d help out. It’s very form-fitting and is great to throw on when heading out to class or to town instead of grabbing a frumpy hoodie. I got this for $20!

The grand total after all theses purchases was……$26.70!!!!! Unbelievable right?!?! I was able to get such a great discount by brining in a few items of my own to sell and I had a 20% off discount card that you get when you shop Plato’s Closet. It has 20 spots on the back that you get stamped every time you make a $10 purchase. I had finally filled mine up and that’s how I got to use it. If you have never been to Plato’s Closet I STRONGLY advise you to go. Check online for one near you! Next up is Rainbow!

At my local Rainbow clothing store they’re having their winter clearance sale and all items on clearance are buy one get one free. Select jewelry was buy one get one free as well. I found these cute tops, and I thought the jewelry was very trendy so I had to get those as well. The top with the wolf I remember seeing something like it in forever 21 so I thought it was a nice trade to get if for free! I lost my receipt but I remember my total being $20 and some change. You can shop online too at

Last but CERTAINLY not least is Forever 21. Although I only got one item, it’s by far my favorite!

I GOT THE SWEATER!!!! I ordered it online and it came in the mail this past saturday. I’m so excited to wear it! expect an OOTD from it this week!

Fashion: OOTD Feminine Edge

The focus of this OOTD is the beautiful floral print on this sweater! I found this in my local Rainbow outlet on Black Friday. It actually wasn’t on sale but I had to have it. It was only about $16 so that wasn’t bad either. Floral is a very feminine print but the loose fit of the sweater, and the fact that it’s black just screamed “Style Me Edgy!” I paired it with a pair of acid wash jeggings, black combat boots, and that gold necklace that has been in practically every outfit I’ve posted, lol. I’m telling you, I need more jewelry!

Fashion: The Sweater I MUST Have!!!

This sweater…gave me LIFE! LOL! So my best friend, my boyfriend, and I were at the mall doing some last-minute Christmas shopping the week before Christmas, and me and my bff always have to go in forever 21. She thinks she’s a horrible gifter so declared the rule that I had to pick out a gift while I was there and she would buy it. I planned to pretended that nothing caught my eye…that was until I saw the sweater! The colors were so vibrant, and that print was just so different. I took one look at it and IMMEDIATELY knew what I would wear it with. I looked on the rack to find a size small but all they had were mediums. No big deal, I knew that sweater would look better worn oversized to I resigned to get the medium until I held it up to me. It was already designed to be oversized and if I would have gotten a medium it would have been like wearing a dress. I was heartbroken. We left the mall but the next morning I was still thinking about I! I hopped on my laptop and went to the forever 21 website and checked their new sweater inventory. I was SO excited when I found it! It’s called the Rainbow Maize Sweatshirt. I fully plan to order it this Friday (thank goodness for payday) and once it arrives an OOTD will be coming your way!!!

Fashion: Leopard and High Waisted Denim

This OOTD is one of my most favorite outfits that I have ever worn. The shirt I had been wanting to wear for a long time I just never had the right pair of high-waisted jeans to wear it with. It’s a leopard print crop top that I got from a local thrift store. I didn’t wear it during the summer because it’s actually a cropped sweater. The pants I got from a local boutique and I was SO excited to find them. I had been wanting a pair of distressed high-waisted acid wash jeans all summer and I was hoping I could find a pair for under $40. has quite a few pairs but my size was always sold out. I may do a few posts later about some of my favorite local shopping spots since I always seem to snag rare finds.  The boots I got about a year or two ago from a mall, but they’re just a basic black pair of combat boots. The necklace is my favorite piece of jewelry that I got from Forever 21 about a year ago as well. I need to invest in a lot more jewelry because I honestly don’t have that much, just a few staple pieces. I wore this outfit for just a casual night out to grab something to eat with friends and see a movie. Sometimes I like my casual a bit over the top 🙂 Here’s where you can find similar items.

Leopard Crop Top

High Waisted Jeans

Combat Boots

Gold Bib Necklace

I found the exact necklace on the Forever 21 website but they now only have it in SILVER

Fashion: Tribal Scarf

IMG_2303 This OOTD is all about this scarf I stumbled across in my local Roses discount department store. It’s not somewhere I normally go looking for clothing, but I have found decent accessories (including a bag that I fully intend to go back and snag). I walked towards the accessories and laying down by itself, separate from the other scarves, I saw this one! I grabbed it up and when I looked at the price I couldn’t believe it was only $4! I thought to myself, I have no clue what I’m going to wear it with but I’m getting it!

I decided to pair it with a lightweight white sweater with a lacey overlay that I got from Plato’s Closet. If you don’t know about that store it is AMAZING! I’ll have to do a post about it later. I wore a pair of dark wash skinny jeans from Rue21 and a pair of taupe oxford flats from some random shoe store in a mall. To top it all off I added a navy peacoat from It was a laid back day so ignore my un-made up face.

Where you can find these items:

Scarf: I’m shocked that I actually found it online!

Shoes:  There are many other cute colors available!

Coat: It runs a bit large so order a size down. I’ve had this coat for about 3 years, I’m surprised they still have it!

Fashion: OOTD – Khaki and Denim

This OOTD was actually from yesterday (Dec. 10th) but I didn’t get to post it until early this morning. Today I wanted to look casual but put together so this is what I pulled out of my closet. Really that’s my goal everyday. When I first got into fashion I was so obsessed with trends and trying to look edgy and different, now on most days with such a busy school and work schedule I just want people to ask “why are you so dressed up?” but still feel like the look was effortless.

Khaki and Denim

Khaki pants are a wardrobe essential. Khaki is a neutral color that works with pretty much any outfit. We automatically see denim jeans as a wardrobe staple, but rarely do we decide to pick up a denim shirt. Not only do denim shirts work perfectly with khaki’s, colored jeans would be a perfect accent as well. Especially cobalt blue, emerald-green, or any jewel tone for fall. This shirt also peaks interest because not only is it half bleached, it has a cutout in the back!

I added a leather jacket for a little edge (plus it was rather chilly), a gold collar necklace, and brown riding boots. The only part of this outfit that’s new are the boots and khakis. Everything else has been a part of my wardrobe for a while so I wont be able to put exact links to where you can find them online, but I will list where I got them so you may be able to find similar items.
